Is Dancehall music dying?

The recent reports about artistes and the state of the dancehall music is not good.
Recently it was reported that four deejays and one selector had their visas, both visiting and working, to the United States of America cancelled.
This follows after reports also surfaced that a deejay popularly known to be flossing was held after allegedly illegally trying to enter the United States in a boat.
There was also more bad news earlier of popular dj, Buju Banton being locked up in the US and now  awaiting trial for possession and alleged trafficking of cocaine.
Recently yet another door was shut in the face of the music when Vbyz Kartel and Mavado were banned from going to Barbados because the authorities there said the artistes promoted violence.
Promoters overseas are worried and say the potential to market dancehall music overseas has fallen significantly with the travel of some key artistes now curtailed. Those who lost their visas now join a number of artistes who already could not travel to the US such as Busy Signal and Kartel.
It is sad what has been happening and it seems all these things are nails now being drilled into the coffin of dancehall.
Dancehall music is clearly going through some serious times. But are these challenges or just retribution for a controversial expression, which has been blamed for violence and over exposing the society,  particularly the youth to sex?
Has the lack of standards and guidelines helped to cause these problems, which now threaten to end dancehall music as we know it?
Is dancehall dying? what are your thoughts?

Prezzo Is Sexually Deprived!!!!

Well it has been 77 days and Prezzo has finally come out and admitted how much he misses sex. Well it took him long enough since it been approximately three months since he has his freedom. Unfortunately our ‘President’ is lonely and is longing for a female companion.
Apparently he has been experiencing some very weird visions of late and it is getting harder every other day to go on without ‘getting some’ and this is really getting to him and his fellow housemates.
Well with this common interest they couldn’t help but confide in each other about how much they miss ‘getting freaky’. Prezzo has even started seeing things.
He opened up to Wati to what can be described as an emotional conversation.”Last night, it’s all I could think of. Every time I tried to close my eyes last night, I would just see a shorty”.
Well he has held out this long, but at this rate he might just give in since Lady May is clearly not helping the situation by walking around the house half naked.

Angela Simmons Bikini Photos: Rev. Run's Daughter Shows Off Beach Body

Angela Simmons has taken the "itsy-bitsy bikini" battle to a whole new level.
Rev. Run's daughter showed off her toned body on the sands of a Miami beach, wearing a gold bikini, body chain and a tangerine head wrap. The 24-year-old former reality show stunner staved off the national heat wave with a dip in the ocean before catching some rays on a reclining beach chair.
"Fresh off a workout! You can't reach a goal without trying! :) xo," Simmons tweeted Sunday.
From these photos, it certainly looks like Simmons' body mission has been accomplished.

Russell vs Roman....True blood 4

Russell vs. Roman on 'True Blood'

[This post contains spoilers for the July 15 episode of HBO's "True Blood."]
The Authority finally captured Russell on Sunday's episode of "True Blood," and it turned out to be a very bad idea.
Russell’s wolves attacked as he cornered Sookie, but she defended herself with her fairy laser magic. When Eric went in for the kill, Bill stopped him, suggesting they may be able to live if they delivered Russell alive.
Members of the Authority rushed in to take Russell away. They insisted Sookie and Alcide’s memories be erased. Bill pretended to glamour Sookie (she’s immune), saying he would erase all her memories of him and Eric so she’d be free to live her life as she should - in the sun. She got very upset. (Hey, it was a tough night. Let it out, Sook.)
Eric slowly approached Alcide, mended his wounds with his blood, and glamoured him. This is the stuff fanfiction sites are made of. For a moment, it almost seemed like they were going to kiss. Instead, Eric ensured the end of Sookie and Alcide’s romance. He’s jealous!
The next morning, when Sookie tried to touch Alcide to feed him memories of their adventure hunting Russell, he recoiled. And she knew it was Eric’s doing! The fact that he’s using another man’s (mostly empty) brain as a medium for flirtation is twisted, arrogant and totally romantic.
Elsewhere in Bon Temps, Luna was alive! She was frantic about Emma, who had run off to her crazy grandmother’s house. Martha brought Emma to visit Luna, and they made nice. In fact, Luna asked if Martha and the pack could protect Emma from the shifter hunters.
Sam and Andy went to the anti-vampire store to investigate who's been shooting shifters. When the owner tried to shoot Andy, Sam got him first.
Meanwhile, Andy’s partner Jason was still looking into his parents’ death. He told Sookie that he suspected they were killed by vampires, and she insisted they go to Faerie.
Sookie interrogated Hadley and Claudine’s brother Claude (a character readers of Charlaine Harris’ novels know well) at the nightclub. He admitted that Sookie’s parents were attacked on a bridge by a vampire who was drawn to their car by the smell of Sookie’s blood on a Band-Aid. Oh brother, the last thing she needs is more guilt.
After he left Sookie, Alcide went to visit his pack and declare himself packmaster. But he needed a second in command to challenge the leader. A woman stepped up - readers of Harris’ novels, I suspect this is Jannalynn? –  so get ready for a showdown.
Lafayette visited his mother Ruby Jean, and it was amazing (please, more of these two and less of Terry, Arlene, Hoyt, Bill, Tara…). She told him that Jesus was being tortured by an evil man, though she admitted she had no idea how she knew that.
At Fangtasia, Pam broke up Tara and Jessica’s fight. She told Tara she was proud “the way a human’s proud of a well-trained dog.” This was another homoerotic moment, and I think these ladies have a better chance of consummating their sexual tension than Eric and Alcide.
Jessica only got more upset when Hoyt tried to get back together with her. She told him he looked ridiculous and he replied, “that’s one opinion.” No, Hoyt, that’s all the opinions, so please go home and change immediately.
He did not go home. Instead, he decided to get sucked dry by a vampire outside the club. A van full of men rolled up and they killed the vampire, then recognized Hoyt and dragged him into the vehicle.
Oh, and Terry fled the fire monster and then told Arlene he was leaving her. So, bummer for them.
Back at the Authority, Roman seemed content to keep Bill and Eric alive. Bill emphatically pleaded his allegiance to mainstreaming, while Eric casually admitted, “there are certain humans I’ve felt protective towards. In the past.” Aw, Sookie!
Eric insisted on visiting Nora, who was still in a trance-like state of prayer. When she heard that Russell was about to be executed, she told Eric it was proof that “she” (Lilith?) had been right all along.
Salome supposedly “silvered” Russell, but it was obvious she wasn’t on the Guardian’s side. Sure enough, during the execution ritual, Russell shot up like a bolt and attacked Roman. He yelled, “peace is for p*****s!” and staked Roman.
Though a lot happened in this episode, it mostly felt like set-up. But Russell’s back, so that’s fun. Is the Guardian really dead? And will Lilith just rise already?R

Eddie Murphy Twitter Death Hoax Continues

Eddie Murphy died? No! Just another case of your average Twitter celebrity death hoax.
Murphy was targeted for the fifth time in yet another death hoax. This time,MediaFetcher had the "Tower Heist" actor dying in a snowboarding accident in Zermatt, Switzerland, early Thursday morning. The post claimed that Murphy had lost control of his snowboard equipment and struck a tree at high speed, dying instantly on impact.
The phony news began spreading like wildfire on Twitter with people questioning the legitimacy of the report. But E! News later confirmed that Murphy is alive "though probably a little agitated with social media."
The actor has been the target of death hoaxes four previous times, all of which involved snowboarding incidents. The first time the rumor spread was in May 2011, when MediaFetcher said he died in Zermatt in a snowboarding accident almost identical to the one described Thursday.
Murphy is not only alive, but he is well.
The actor was photographed at the BET Awards on July 1 with his new girlfriend, "106 & Park" star Rocsi Diaz.
The 51-year-old actor is certainly not the only celebrity whose death has been rumored on Twitter.

Rihanna Shows Off Bikini Body In Saint Tropez (PHOTOS)

Looking good, Rihanna!
The singer continued her European getaway on Saturday as she spent some time on a luxury yacht in the waters off Saint Tropez, France. Rihanna, sporting yet another teeny bikini, sipped beers in the sun with her pals and later jumped on a jet ski before having some fun on a water trampoline.
These are just the latest photos we've seen of Rihanna as she continues her vacation abroad. Last week she tweeted some photos of herself relaxing in a bikini, of course, off the coast of Italy.
Looks like she's living a tough life, huh?
Check out some photos from Rihanna's boat day below:

Where is Katherine Jackson?

Since the middle of the night, Paris Jackson, whip-smart 14 year old, has been Tweeting that her grandmother and guardian, Katherine Jackson, is not home. Paris says she has not spoken to her grandmother in a week. Mrs, Jackson is the legal guardian of three minor children including Paris–her brothers Prince, 15, and Blanket, 10. If she has not been home for a week in Calabasas, California, then who is taking care of these children?
Jermaine Jackson has Tweeted that his mother is getting rest in Arizona, and nothing is wrong. But something is very very wrong if a 14 year old girl has to resort to Twitter to alert the world that her beloved grandmother and guardian is AwoL. The Jackson kids have lawyers and a court appointed guardian, as well. Plus, the Jackson estate should be concerned that one of their heirs is unaccounted for.
What makes all of this so suspicious is that it comes at the end of several days of infighting among the Jacksons. For years Michael Jackson used to give his mother chunks of money which she disbursed to his siblings who needed it. But since Michael died, the money is controlled by the executors of his estate. The executors must account for this money to the probate court. The gravy train for the Jackson family ended on June 25m 2009 when Michael died. Now they scramble to earn a living. There is grave concern that the siblings are pressuring Mrs. Jackson to turn against the executors, or gain conservatorship over her.
Michael’s children are not stupid. They can read the internet. By now they know that uncles Jermaine and Randy are not so interested in them. They are interested in their own futures. But I doubt scaring Paris Jackson and mobilizing her to this point will ingratiate the brothers with Michael’s kids. Let’s hope Katherine Jackson is returned to her home pronto, and that the lawyers and others representing the kids can prevent this from happening again.

Trial Dates Set For vybz Kartel

Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel is to go on trial on November 5 in relation to the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

Kartel, whose real name Adidja Palmer, is also charged for the murder of St. Catherine businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton.

That matter is set to be heard on October 29.

The entertainer has been in custody since September last year.

Although he has received bail in relation to the murder of Burton, Kartel cannot take up the bond since he has been remanded in connection with the murder of Williams.

A bail application was expected to be made today but his lawyer Valerie Neita-Robertson did not, as she said she was upset that the case was shifted to another judge.

She said she will make the bail application sometime between the two trial dates.

The Game will remain The Bachelor … the rapper’s wedding has officially been called off … and Game says he’s the one to blame.
Game and his fiance Tiffney Cambridge had reportedly struck a deal to star in a wedding reality show, which would follow the couple around right up until the “I dos” at a July 28 ceremony.
But the show … and the relationship … are seemingly over … with Game tweeting, “The rumors are TRUE. The wedding is OFF. It’s not her fault, it’s mine ! She’s a GREAT woman, I just wasn’t man enough 2 see it through.”
Game has since apologized to his family and friends … adding, “Not everyone has a happy ending.”

'UHURU IS RICHEST KENYAN'....the TRUTH ABOUT HIS SOURCE OF WEALTH..

FORBES Magazine has listed Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta as worth US$500 million (Sh47.5 billion) making him the 26th richest person in Africa and the richest Kenyan in their line-up. Forbes released its list of the 40 richest Africans yesterday. The next Kenyan on the list is businessman Chris Kirubi at number 31 worth $300 million.
Forbes is famous for its annual global Rich List which reports the 1,000 richest people in the world. "Kenya's Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta is the son of Kenya's first President Jomo Kenyatta, and heir to some of the largest land holdings in Kenya," Forbes stated.
The magazine claimed that Uhuru and the family own vast amounts of prime land across the country. "The land was acquired by his father in the 1960s and 1970s when the British colonial government and the World Bank funded a settlement transfer fund scheme that enabled government officials and wealthy Kenyans to acquire land from the British at very low prices," Forbes explains.
However the Kenyatta family has always insisted that its landholdings are not that extensive. Few, if any, land titles are likely to bear Uhuru Kenyatta's name. "Uhuru and his family also own Brookside Dairies, Kenya's largest dairy company, as well as stakes in popular television station K24 and a commercial bank in Nairobi, among other interests," Forbes states in its short section on Uhuru.
Uhuru, the Kanu chairman, has declared that he will be standing in the 2012 presidential election even if the ICC confirms that he should go for a full trial on charges of crimes against humanity. "Even if the assessment of his personal wealth is exaggerated, the Forbes report can only help Uhuru at election time. His biggest selling point will be that he does not need to be corrupt because he is already wealthy," said a political analyst yesterday.
The Forbes list may not be completely accurate. Various families and individuals including former President Moi and his son Gideon are believed to be wealthier that the Kenyattas. The richest man in Africa is Nigerian Aliko Dangote, with a $10.1 billion fortune based on his stake in publicly-traded Dangote Cement as well as his interests in flour milling, sugar refining and salt processing.  The second richest man is South African diamond magnate Nicky Oppenheimer with a $6.5 billion fortune.
Forbes focused on African citizens excluding potential members like Sudanese-born billionaire Mo Ibrahim who is a UK citizen; South African-born Ivan Glasenberg, CEO of commodities trader Glencore, who is Australian citizen; and former South African billionaire Donald Gordon, now a British citizen and who lives in the UK. "We calculated the fortunes using stock prices and currency exchange rates from close of business Wednesday, November 2.
To value privately-held businesses we couple estimates of revenues or profits with prevailing price-to-sales or price-to-earnings ratios for similar public companies. "We have purposely excluded dispersed family fortunes such as the Chandaria family of Kenya and the Madhvanis of Uganda, because the wealth is believed to be held by dozens of family members. We do include wealth belonging to a member’s immediate relatives if the wealth can be traced to one living individual; in that case, you’ll see “& family” on our list as an indication," said Forbes.
In September at the International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo asked if Uhuru was indeed a rich man. He replied that he did not consider himself a poor person but did not elaborate further.
Kirubi, 70, has built an empire spanning real estate, manufacturing and investments. His real estate holdings include Nairobi’s International House building. He is said to own residential and commercial properties across the city, valued at more than $200 million.“People say I am one of the richest people in Kenya, but that’s not my concern,” he is quoted by Forbes.

“When I look around at my companies and see the number of people we have employed, it gives me joy. It is more satisfying than having all the money in the world,” he adds.
Kirubi started building his fortune in the early 1970s. After working for several years at Kenatco, he began acquiring run-down residential and commercial properties in Nairobi. He renovated them and flipped them for a profit. Kirubi then acquired land in Nairobi’s choicest areas and erected commercial and residential structures there.
In 1998 Kirubi acquired 100 per cent of Haco Industries, the Kenyan subsidiary of a Dutch trading house, for an undisclosed sum. It became a leading indigenous manufacturer of consumer products, including TCB and Palmers.
In 2008 Haco formed a joint venture with Tiger Brands, one of South Africa’s largest food manufacturers. Revenues of Haco Tiger Industries were in excess of $33 million (Sh2.475 billion) in 2010. It employs close to 700 people.
In 1998 Kirubi purchased Capital FM. Kirubi holds the largest individual stake in Centum Investments, a private equity firm listed both on the Nairobi and Uganda stock exchanges with a recent market capitalisation of $92 million. Centum holds substantial stakes in Coca-Cola, Safaricom and Kenya Commercial Bank. Kirubi is the largest individual shareholder in UAP Insurance, East Africa’s third largest insurance company.

Van Persie, Rooney, Messi & Ronaldo among the 32 nominees for Uefa's Best Player in Europe award

Uefa has announced a list of the 32 players who are in contention for their award for the best player of Europe.

La Liga champions Real Madrid are the most represented club on the list, with seven players, followed by Premier League holders Manchester City, who boast six players.

Champions League winners Chelsea and Catalan giants Barcelona boast four players each, while Radamel Falcao is the sole player from Europa League champions Atletico Madrid to make the cut.The players were chosen by a a jury of journalists from each of Uefa's 53 member associations. The governing body for European football will reveal on August 14 the names of the three players who were given the most points by the writers, who will then proceed to the live vote to choose the overall winner in Monaco.

Barca's Lionel Messi was the winner of the first edition of the award, beating team-mate Xavi and Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo to the honour.

Raul and Didier Drogba have left Europe since their exploits last season for Al Sadd and Shanghai Shenhua respectively, while Shinji Kagawa's form for Borussia Dortmund earned him a summer move to Manchester United.

One surprising nomination is 27-year-old Bangor City winger Les Davies, who has been voted the club's player of the season for two consecutive seasons.

Prezzo Wants Out Of Big Brother, AGAIN!!!!

Well it seems that loneliness is catching up with Prezzocause he has certainly had enough and wants out of Big Brother….Prezzo was chatting up Talia in the Big Brother house when he dropped the bomb.
He plans to ask for a Voluntary Exit!!!
Apparently he feels isolated and an overwhelming sense of loneliness and that is why he has given up. At first Talia thought that Prezzo was just pulling her leg, but after some digging around she realised that the King of bling was actually serious.
This right here is what he said: “My tank is on empty right now. I’m done. I feel so lonely and the isolation is getting to me,” Of course Talia couldn’t bear to see Prez leave, so she sucked up to him. She told him, “You cannot give up now. We’re nearing the end. You cannot give up right at the door. It would be a stupid move on your part. Think of all the people you will be disappointing.”
Well it seems that it has dawned to him that Goldie actually left and maybe he is gonna need someone else to take her place or maybe it’s a strategy to win him some pity votes……but who knows only time will tell….

Miguna and the Salvation Story

Ever heard of this story of salvation, if you have come accross an evangelist and you tried to reasin that the salvation story is not real, you might have heard that, "even if it was not true, what is there to loose? but if it was true, you might end up burning in hell"

Now, if we were to apply the same ideology to the Miguna story, it would make much sense if a kenyan said they will not vote for Raila. Assuming that he is telling the truth, noone would want the man as a president of this Nation. but if he was lying, I do not see anything to lose if we just did not vote for the man.

I would call this playing safe. this is a country not a fruit business, so, taking risks is not an option, and again, we would have to wait five years to select another prezzo.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE MIGUNA STORY AS SIMILAR TO THE SALVATION IDEOLOGY.

Did you know that Octopizzo's new condoms actually glow in the dark?

Octopizzo
You have probably heard about Octopizzo's new business venture, a condom line that is set to take the youths by storm. If not, I completely understand. The guy has lately been launching so many businesses that it's now hard to keep track.
With aim of fighting the spread of STDs and unwanted pregnancies among the youth, Octopizzo thought of a way to attract them to the use of condoms since, let's face it, you can't really expect us to stop, right?
So, Octo thought to himself, "what if I made the condoms glow in the dark." I'm not really sure what brought this thought to his mind, but he didn't waste any time in taking the initiative to make it happen.
Bringing in swag to the packaging, he made sure that they are as attractive and seductive as the action itself (if you know what I mean). I gotta say that he pulled it off. I'm not sure about the 'glow in the dark' feature, but the market will have the last word.
This will be very interesting considering that it's market has been expanded to cover the whole of Africa.

EXCLUSIVE and PHOTOs: Esther Arunga's letter to her PARENTS

ESTHER: MY SINCERE APOLOGY LETTER TO MY PARENTS

I must address a subject that I have feared and is long overdue. One that is touchy!

My purpose in writing this letter is to tell parents out there what kind of damage they do to their children KNOWINGLY or UNKNOWINGLY when they mistreat their child's spouse and children. And what kind of damage it does to their relationship with their child and their grandchildren. I do this in the hope that I can prevent this damage from being done to someone else. It is too late for our family.

You want only the best for your children. You want them to grow into adults who are capable of making choices for themselves. This means you need to let them make those choices. This includes whom they fall in love with and decide to marry. Life is a learning experience. If they fail at something, then they will learn a lesson from that experience! You cannot shelter them and expect them to grow at the same time.

Sometimes the choices they make are not the same ones you would choose for them. They are not supposed to be your choices and you need to wish them happiness and be emotionally supportive of them. That means you do not interfere. You do not instigate, you do not demean the spouse, you do not pass right by that child's house and go onto another child's–play favorite's. You give your love and you let the chips fall where they may. The danger is; nowadays should parents force daughters/sons to marry persons against their wishes..they'll marry to please both their parents, society and church. But in turn, out of wedlock misconducts begin. Because it leads the victims jump off their parents' chosen spouses cages onto hot frying pans of the people their hearts will chemically vie for. That's why there's too much sin even inside the church giving birth to death - AIDS and stone cold souls.

If your child and their spouse love each other and are happy with their relationship and their life together, do not try and find things wrong that just are not there! Be happy for them! It is okay to be wrong! So you never thought you would like the spouse, you never thought they would change into a person you could like! That does not matter, your child is happy and you may be blinded by something you should have let go of a long time ago!

If we daughters are so bad, then why are so many of us silent sufferers at the hands of our parents/parents in-laws? Why do we take the hits that keep on coming? It is because we love those children of others that we bring in your folds.....in laws.

Parents can sometimes force pressure on to their children. A relationship that was supposed to be enjoyable lacks that time to enjoy their youth and turn their united fists in to fighting tools against the hard hitting parents. Challenging relationships can offer some of our most powerful growth opportunities. We shouldn't end relationships lightly at the pleasure of parents or parents’ in-law, even when they prove difficult, especially because, as we shall see, we must ultimately, at some level, engage with the defense mechanisms most prevalent in our environment. But when we have strongly considered all of our options, applied optimally effective strategies, and still determined that the relationship is highly unlikely to become a healthier one, it is then reasonable to remove ourselves from the situation.

My mothers and fathers out there, if your child and their spouse love each other and are happy with their relationship and their life together, do not try and find things wrong that just are not there! Be happy for them! It is okay to be wrong! So you never thought you would like the spouse, you never thought they would change into a person you could like! That does not matter, your child is happy and you may be blinded by something you should have let go of a long time ago!

Do not treat the children of your child's that you don't like the spouse of differently than that of your other children's kid's. Big hint–The kids who are treated differently know! And they do not understand why! It is hard to have to explain to your child, "Honey, I'm sorry but grandma and grandpa have never liked me, they didn't want your dad to marry me so they treat you differently," when your children want to know why grandma and grandpa treats them so differently! Grandparents, it is wrong to put your grandchildren in the middle.

The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naïve forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget...but my loving husband whom my former admirers would love to hate sat with me humbly for the past 2 years over this matter. At first, he put sense in to my mind back in 2010 to withdraw a lawsuit against my husband. What people have never understood is I did not directly sue my parents. But the attorney company I hired to press the legal charges against Dr Njenga who abused my well being went on charging everyone who was involved. I was so angry at my father when I learnt that actually he signed those procedures which gave Dr Njenga a nod to conduct his psychological abuse on me and I lost my child in a pool of blood in the aftermath.

The media immediately launched offensive attacks against me without considering the post psychological effects I just rose up from. Dr Njenga abuse, my husband jailed, lost child, combined family's continuous scathing attacks, hired hit-men tracking me everywhere and CID police on my case. I slid to personal psychological defense mechanism system since my husband wasn't there around me. The people who were around me by then were cowards, big talkers and chicken hearts. I resorted to being my own bodyguard, doctor and media attacks fighter until my husband got released from jailed!

Defense mechanisms which are specific archetypal patterns of behavior that result when human systems – whether on the individual, family, social, cultural, national or global levels - take on particular suboptimal structural configurations. These structural configurations developed in response to trauma, an event that wounded my system, infringing on its ability to meet its human needs for a period of time, to an extent great enough to affect the system’s arrangement of parts. Physical trauma led to structural changes on the physical, as well as on all other levels, while other forms of trauma impacted the more abstract, but equally crucial, structural aspects of my human system. It was very bad with the memories of huge loss of blood, beatings, CID trauma and Limuru ordeal.

Healthy systems, in anticipation of or in response to events or conditions, develop firm, but flexible boundaries. In the wake of a significant trauma, however, a system may develop a more extreme configuration – either overly rigid or overly flexible - that protects itself and its most important elements in order to best survive the immediate situation. Crucial as this response may be for short-term coping, this defensive structure may remain long after the original trauma has run its course, continuing to generate dysfunctional behaviors that inhibit the system’s ability to meet its needs and to develop or maintain sustainable health and maturity.

Trauma – consisting of several types and originating from personal, family, social, global and environmental sources - has grown so prevalent in many of our human systems that it has become normalized. Events and conditions that significantly diminish our ability to meet our evolved human needs have often come to be perceived as inevitable or even desirable. Thus, the resulting structural changes and defensive behaviors associated with trauma have become pervasive, exerting a profound impact on our lives, our institutions and our planet.

This is why dear Kenyans, it's been a lengthened battle between this tiny army and you. Whether we like it or not, we belong to one country. We remain children of the same blood and culture. A time reaches when we need to put this foggy filth behind us and move on. Am not expecting everyone to like me for already some were full of hate for "their" own selfish reasons and they know it. I am writing to formally apologize, for all the moments of pain and misery that I might have inadvertently caused you, throughout my formative 2 and a half years. I also take this opportunity to forgive you in each and every trauma you've put me through!!!!

I therefore take this opportunity to apologize, for my constant bickering with you my beloved dad and mother (when I wasn’t trying my hardest to ignore you). I realize that you are not the annoying, sociopathic space aliens that I once thought. You are, in fact, quite wonderful wonderful people. Thanks to my husband who tirelessly inserted the positive thinking in to my senses of reason and thought that brought major meaningful senses. Now I reached a decision.

Children begin by loving their parents; after a time they judge them; rarely, if ever, do they forgive them. It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength which I missed but I can now see sense in it from the age of 13 when they were not there for me till the age of 29. How many years of parental absence? The most loving parents and relatives commit murder with smiles on their faces. They force us to destroy the person we really are: a subtle kind of murder. I hope you understand this and relieve me of this burden. I do confess though that I did not think you liked me in the past 2 years. They put a live teddy bear in my crib. I have therefore decided to put all this bitterness away and forget it for good.

This is not a condition, but I request you Dad and Mum to kindly accept my husband and child as part of our society. They're the family I got. Whether we like this fact or not, they're one of the major things that sent me away. Now am back and request to be accepted back with them. Is that okay Mum? Is that okay? Matthew 19:6

The Holy Bible says at Ephesians 6:4 "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord." Which means I have decided to come back to the dynamic family of the Arungas because I'll never be provoked to anger again.

To you my dear mama, I was a mama’s daughter right from the time I remember. All my childhood memories have you in their frames. I learnt to walk erect soon enough, in more ways than one, with your unconditional love and affection. You taught me to be thankful, count my blessings, and learn from my mistakes. I couldn’t let you down. You had the vision to look at our family as a team and strengthen my wings to enable me to take off on my own in my early teens. You gave me all the space I ever needed to grow.

You weathered all the storms and turbulences that struck your path and demonstrated with élan, that a woman has many roles to play and being a mother is one of them. Little did I realize then that this was your way of imparting early lessons in motherhood. You braved the loss of your own mother with the composure of a saint. The dignity with which you let go of her was a tribute to her life shared with you. You were there again, guiding my steps when I walked into matrimony. I learnt from your marriage, that the secret of seeing it through the years is in just staying married. You taught me that it takes a lot of courage, patience and selfless love to wade through the difficult times which cloud the happy moments.

You took our child Sinclair into your arms when the world enjoyed the negative relationship that was between me and you. I chanced to see the joy and tears in your eyes which I missed seeing when I was in your arms. You were willing to learn the ropes of being a mother with me once more and better yourself at it, all over again. You had only yourself to compete with. Hats off to that spirit! Your happiness only increased manifold when I placed my daughter in your arms. You probably felt that the almighty had given you one last chance to work on her in the areas you missed out on, with me. I know for sure that your efforts will bear fruits one day. I know that I shouldn't have acted like that and that is why I am truly and deeply sorry for making you hurt on both the inside and on the outside, but you must believe me that my love for you will either stay the same or grow to be more because without you my son lacks a grand mother. And it's reaching a time where your role over him is knocking the door. I am flying back home soon to visit you and make up for the rest personal family matters that I may not discuss here.

To maintain a joyful family requires much from both the parents and the children. Each member of the family has to become, in a special way, the servant of the others. I am ready to rejoin this family again and fulfill this fruitful epistolary of good times that we did miss in absenteeism.

Let parents bequeath to their children not riches, but the spirit of reverence!! May I be forgiven in the name of Jesus Christ!

AMEN

Your Daughter,

Esther
